Why do you require a design phase? +
The design phase allows us to fully develop your project before construction begins. During this process, we create drawings, develop selections, refine the scope of work, and establish project pricing. Investing time in planning upfront helps reduce surprises, improve budget accuracy, and create a smoother construction experience.
What are 3D renderings and why are they important? +
Our 3D renderings allow you to visualize your future space before construction begins. They help you evaluate layouts, cabinetry, fixtures, finishes, furniture placement, and overall proportions so you can make confident decisions during the design process.
While renderings are created to be as realistic as possible, they are not an exact representation of the finished project. Factors such as lighting conditions, material textures, paint finishes, and natural variations in products can affect the final appearance. Their purpose is to provide a clear visual understanding of how the space will come together, helping eliminate uncertainty and improve decision-making.
How is my project priced? +
The first pricing you receive is a ballpark estimate based on the information gathered during our initial meetings and site visit. Its purpose is to help determine whether the project aligns with your budget and goals before moving into detailed design.
As the design phase progresses, the scope, selections, and project details become more defined. Once those decisions are finalized, we provide a detailed proposal that reflects the full scope of work and serves as the basis for your construction agreement.
How does the client portal work? +
Our Buildertrend client portal provides 24/7 access to your project. You can view schedules, budgets, selections, progress photos, and communicate directly with our team from one convenient location. It keeps everything organized and helps ensure complete transparency throughout your project.

Nordic Builders specializes in upscale kitchen and bathroom remodels, custom cabinetry, home additions, and new construction. Whether you’re updating a single space or transforming your entire home, our team guides you through every step of the process.
Do you offer design services or do I need to hire a designer separately? +
We provide in-house design services as part of our design-build process. Before construction begins, we create detailed drawings, material selections, and realistic 3D renderings so you can confidently visualize your project. This planning helps reduce surprises, improve decision-making, and create a smoother construction experience.
How do payments work? +
Project payments are divided into predetermined milestones throughout construction. Before work begins, you’ll receive a clear payment schedule outlining when payments are due and what phase of the project they correspond to. We accept ACH transfers, checks, and credit card payments.
